The Fourth Way is a teaching of
spiritual development that leads in right order to the
achievement of higher consciousness and the awakening of
higher powers and understandings in oneself. It was brought to
the West in the early part of 20th century by George Gurdjieff
and Peter Ouspensky. The Fourth Way is based on individual
verification and understanding, there are two principles above
all: self-remembering and the transformation of
suffering.
